Elsa Poe arrives on the stage and asks Doc to escort her to the Long Branch. Bob Sullins and Art McLane argue over who gets served first by Quint. Charlie Ross and Joe Rogers run a freight business. At the Long Branch, Sullins, a trail boss, sits with Elsa. McLane has designs on Elsa also. At Delmonico's McLane invites himself to Elsa's table. Elsa tells him she's waiting for someone.
